GL News January & February 2012 UpdatesPreaching Pastor in NyackMartin has accepted the role of Interim Preaching Pastor at Living Christ Church in Nyack, NY effective January 1st 2012. It is a one-year committment based on Dianna's health. Martin will preach three Sundays a month and focus on leadership development.Book Release - Paris, FranceRelease of the French adaptation of The Power of Mentoring. Global Leadership will help launch a conference for young leaders based on Martin's mentoring book.Nyack, NY - Doctor of Ministry, ATSMartin and his team, including Rob Reimer (Global Associate) , will continue their investment in a group of forty emerging leaders from over twenty countries/cultural backgrounds.November & December UpdatesOhio - The Outpouring ConferenceGlobal Leadership continued its partnership with Healing Cares Ministry. This was a productive third installment of an ongoing ministry to pastors and church leaders in the Midwest. We have received many reports of life transformation from the participants. For more information please visit www.healingcare.org/the-outpouring.September & October UpdatesExecutive Couples Coaching ConferenceMartin and Dr. David Russ worked with nine couples from all over the country for a week. Many reported significant changes in their marriages because of this conference. We thank you for your prayers.Life Change DVDWith the help of 180 Inc.s media team we recently recorded Martins first teaching DVD on Life Change. We believe this will be a valuable resource for Christian leaders on how to break through to the next level of their faith and life. Expect the release date to be early 2012.FamilyDianna - She recently had a follow-up appointment at Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore, MD) on October 17. The doctor said she has a rare disorder. There is a 3 month plan in place. She returns in January.Lauren - She recently passed her bar exam in Pennsylvania. She is on a short term assignment with Homeland Security.July & August UpdatesChurch Consultation & Preaching - At Grace Community Church (Detroit, MI) Martin assisted the leaders of the church to move to the next level of overall church effectiveness, embracing the Spirits presence and power, and expanded avenues of racial reconciliation. Many leaders and lay people have reported life-changing experiences through Martins work with the church.ATS Doctor of Ministry ProgramIn August Martin and his team brought in fifteen new doctoral candidates to join the first cohort of twenty. Martin continues to hear reports of life-change among the D.Min students.FamilyDianna - She will have a follow-up appointment at Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore, MD) on October 17.Bo & Christie - They recently moved to be near work. Bo is continuing in his PhD at Claremont University.Lauren - She is waiting word on her bar exam in Pennsylvania.Eric - He is continuing his Masters in Fine Arts at SUNY (South Hampton).Amy - She continues to manage two homeless shelters in Philadelphia.May & June UpdatesTranscultural Leadership Conference (Ireland; April 28 - May 4) Martin brought a multicultural team of emerging pastors and leaders from the Greater New York Area to Ireland. In partnership with Arrow Ireland, Global Leadership continued its investment in top Irish leaders on how to effectively reach the unreached.Couples Outreach (Bernardsville, NJ; May 14)Designed for couples who are exploring new aspects of life and faith (recovery from addictions & exploring commitments both marriage and faith), Martin helped develop a healthy approach that includes God in their life and relationship.CMA General Council (Kansas City, MO; May 25-29)Martin mentored key ministry leaders within the CMA and recruited candidates for the new Doctor of Ministry Program at ATS.Risen King Mentoring Consultation (New City, NY; June 3)Martin and Dianna continue their year-long relationship with Risen King Church to mentor and coach their leadership group of twenty-seven pastors, staff members, and leaders.
